National Traveller MABS has four full time equivalent staff members. Our coordinator, policy worker, education worker and development worker support the development of collaborative working relationships locally and nationally with Travellers and other relevant organisations. We promote partnership and holistic approaches to managing the Travelling Communities financial inclusion needs. This includes working with the Travelling community to promote and develop culturally appropriate education programs and support.

Nancy Power

Coordinator

Nancy Power is the Coordinator of National Traveller MABS. She holds qualifications in Youth and Community work and Alcohol and Drug addiction. She has been involved in the struggle for human rights for the past 30 years, fighting to improve the quality of life for Travellers and other marginalised groups within Irish society.

Aoife Foley

National Financial Inclusion & Social Policy Worker

Aoife Foley is the National Financial Inclusion & Social Policy Worker with National Traveller MABS. Before joining National Traveller MABS Aoife worked in the community sector and has a background in human rights law.

Denise Collins

National Development & Support Worker

Denise Collins is the National Development and Support Worker with National Traveller MABS. Her role is to co-ordinate, organise and facilitate the building of links between local MABS services and related services providers such as CIS, local area partnerships and the local Traveller Community.

Margaret Collins

Administrator

Margaret is National Traveller MABS administrator. She has worked with National Traveller MABS since it's inception in 2005. Prior to that Margaret worked in Exchange House MABS.

Temitope Animashaun

Financial Administrator

Temitope is National Traveller MABS financial administrator. She has been working with National Traveller MABS since July 2007.

Our Mission

Our mission is to work to reduce poverty, discrimination and the financial exclusion of Travellers in Ireland by effecting change in policy and practice and by building Traveller inclusion and capability in partnership with the Traveller community.
